In 1951 Isamu Noguchi began to design the Akari Light Sculptures, works characterized by weightless luminosity. He chose the name 'akari' for these objects, a word that means 'light' in Japanese, connoting both illumination and physical lightness.

This lamp could be used as a bedside lamp, a small floor-standing lamp, or a statement lamp in your living room. It could also make an incredible, one-of-a-kind gift, as these lamps are very difficult to come by in South Africa.

Includes:

  • Lampshade
  • Lamp
  • Warm Bulb
  • Japanese to South African Plug Adapter

They are packaged in Styrofoam custom packaging, meaning they can be shipped nationwide without any damage.
